We are so excited that you have considered our training programs here at

Be Balanced Training Studio for your child's dance education!

Our recreational class program is where it all begins.  As a student in our recreational program, your child will receive a premium training service with friendly teachers in a fun atmosphere.  Our classes are kept small to allow our teachers to provide detailed training to each and every student. We meet students where they are along their dance journey and challenge them to reach their full potential in an encouraging and loving environment.  This program is open to students of a beginner/intermediate level where students will learn the basic fundamentals of dance technique, musicality and artistry along with beginner acrobatic skills.  This program offers an end of season performance for those that wish to participate and an opportunity to move into our intermediate/advanced classes based on teacher evaluation.  Our studio is a safe space with classes that are sure to leave your child feeling inspired, confident and eager to return each week!

Ballet teaches grace, poise, and the technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations.

Jazz builds on the fundamentals learned in ballet and is very structured in technique. This genre teaches isolations of the body, improves performance quality and  helps dancers learn complex rhythms and patterns. It takes many forms, and is often performed to upbeat music. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz to help develop a well rounded dancer.

Lyrical and Contemporary combine elements of ballet, jazz and modern and challenge dancers to use choreography and movement to interpret music and express emotion. Lyrical allows for more fluid movements and gracefulness to interpret a song's lyrics, while contemporary can be more sharp and powerful while allowing a level of improvisation and interpretation.

A class blending the three key components of musical theater: dancing, singing and acting to songs from well-known musicals.  Students learn performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance, expressive movements and facial expressions. Dances in this genre are typically upbeat and fun.

This program blends movement and the underlying principles of dance.  Students use props such as scarves, bean bags, ribbons and more as they are introduced to ballet basics, tumbling & movement fundamentals. Children also work on body control, listening/communication skills, balance and coordination, memory development, and social involvement.

Acro Dance is an art form that incorporates the fluid movements of dance with the exciting tricks from acrobatics. Students develop specific strength, flexibility, and technique, to learn how to execute acrobatic skills and tumbling, to then be used in dance choreography. Acro focuses on flexibility, muscle control, balance, technique, and strength.

Hip hop is a high-energy class and is characterized by it's rhythmic movements that follow the beats of hip hop music. Hip Hop encourages students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements and allows dancers to freely express themselves.

Our homeschool dance class offers an early option as an extra curricular activity for students in a homeschooled environment.  This class offers a variety in curriculum each week teaching the fundamentals of ballet and jazz with an additional element of aerial arts.  Students are taught proper technique, strength and flexibility to support these art forms.
